I have been wanting a screen door for awhile now and my husband and I finally got around to getting one. I love the fact that you can open the front door and let the cool air in this time of year (remember we have had 60-70 degree weather here in Florida some days). I also like that it reminds me of old farmhouses that have the old screen doors that squeak. In fact, when my husband and I got the door, he said "I sure hope this thing squeaks like my grandmothers used to", and low and behold , IT SQUEAKED! I really would have loved to have one from his or my grandparents old house, but since we couldn't have that we had to settle for a new one. Maybe my children will appreciate it one day when they inherit our home!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I have always wanted a door like that, but our house doesn't have a screen door....yeah it's one of those...just a front door. I don't like it that I can't open the front door and get a cool breeze, but I do like the fact that I don't have to open two doors when I'm bringing in the groceries! LOL :) I guess there's pros and cons to anything. :-D
I'm really glad your door squeaks like your husbands grandma's used to do. :) My g-ma's door squeaked too.........still does. I'm very blessed that my g-parents are still alive. I actually still had my greatgrandma until a few years ago...there was 5 generations of us..now only 4.

I love your screen door. I have been wanting one for years. I love the sound too and clearly have good memories of my Grandmas. To tell the you truth I would love to have an old fashion looking cottage with all the modern conveniences. I can dream can't I? LOL.

Screen doors are a great addition especially when you live somewhere so warm! Here in the Seattle area we would be frozen most of the year!
